What brand have you found works well, and from how many weeks you could hear the baby’s heartbeat Best Answer:

answer by Sarah M
The ones you buy at drug stores or baby’s-R-Us are a waste of money, and you probably can not afford, those who use your health provider (at least most people can not). The (to use for everyone) for retail sale, you agree most gut-gurgling noises and other background noises, and it is usually very difficult to get the real heartbeat. And when you finally find it, 9 out of 10 cases the baby rolls over and you can not. You have to try to find the baby back to get the best sound, and most of the time they move too much to get it, or if the placenta is on the front of the uterus, you can not get it even bought nicht.Ich me one for $ 20 and wished I had not.

Tips on Using Doppler Prenatal Baby Heart Monitor

Posted in Baby Heart Monitor on November 28th, 2010 by Andrew – Be the first to comment

Pregnancy can be one of the most exciting times in your life, filled with fun, hope, and enjoyment. And many pregnant women find that nothing is more exciting than hearing their baby’s heart beat for the first time! So a home use Doppler Prenatal Baby Heart Monitor is necessary for every expectant mother to hear their unborn babies’ heart beat anytime at anywhere and know your baby’s heart sounds before birth and form a special bond with her/him. But many of them feel so worried about their fetal health that they went to the gynecologist when sensed any little abnormality after too frequent of hearing. Experts suggest pregnant mothers not do so and feel relaxed.

Generally speaking, the fetal heart beat is 120?160 per Minute. But some pregnant mothers have good ability for oxygen reserve which causes a transient increase in fetal heart beat rate and than drops to the normal condition. This is a normal response in Developing Nervous System of Fetus. Some pregnant mothers feel involuntary nervous when find out fetal heart beat rate is out of the normal condition. They barely seem to realize that too much nervous will cause fetal upset and increase in fetal heart beat rate. At last this may cause fetal hypoxia. So here are some tips on using Doppler Prenatal Baby Heart Monitor.

The FHR (Fetal Heart Rate) shows obvious changes in following 3 periods:

1. Within 30 minutes after getting up

2. Within 60 minutes after lunch

3. Within 30 minutes before going to bed

During those three periods, oxygen supply to fetus decreases because of the pregnant mother’s body needs more oxygen for digesting food and body condition changes. So it can report the fetal health in a proper way.

Tips on using Doppler Prenatal Baby Heart Monitor:
1.Refer to the way which the gynecologist use at the hospital, pregnant mothers must lie flat and use the baby heart monitor probe to find the fetal heart.

2. The fetal heart sounds ‘tick-tock” as the clock is a faster speed. Usage 1-minute unit, the normal rate is 120~160 per minute and less or more is thought to be abnormal. If necessary, the pregnant mother should be taken to hospital.

3. Warnings: Don’t take the vascular-pulsation of maternal abdomen as the fetal heart beat. Feel difficult to tell apart? You are advised to touch the pregnant mother’s pulse at the same time, if the fetal heart rate sounds the same as the pulse rate. That is the mother’s pulse rate.

4. The baby heart monitor fails to work due to the following reasons: batteries need replaced, switch off, volume is turned down, plug not inserted, not apply water or oil or something others to the probe.

Whether you are facing a high risk pregnancy or just want the reassurance that your baby is happy and safe, you will find comfort in monitoring your baby’s heart beat with the convenience of having your own Doppler Prenatal Baby Heart Monitor by your side.

How Baby Heart Monitor Work

Posted in Baby Heart Monitor on November 27th, 2010 by Andrew – Be the first to comment

When a woman gets pregnant, there are so many products for her that would help her in her condition. This state of a woman is very delicate and she must do her best to take care of herself. In fact, one of the products that she can use is the baby heart monitor.

This ultrasound device allows the mother to check the heartbeat of the baby growing inside her womb. This can be detected for as early as ten weeks into the pregnancy of the woman.

When you use the baby heart monitor, this is very similar to the “Doppler effect.” To recap, the Doppler effect is like a train whistle that is heard loudly whenever it comes closer and closer. But after the train passes by, the sound also drops and becomes lower.

The baby heart monitor allows the mother to hear the actual frequency of the heartbeat of the child and it is as if the baby is right next to her already. This can also be increased and decreased depending on the level the mother wants it to be.

Doctors have already used baby heart monitors not only for pregnant women but other hospital applications such as those involving medical and surgical purposes. The main root of the baby heart monitors is the ultrasound that is used to locate things that are found in space.

By sending out the frequency, the object bounces off from one point to another. The calculation of this speed of sound is what makes up the frequency that is heard through the baby heart monitors.

This is similar to that if the navy ships. They calculate the speed of sound and measure the frequency that returns. This is determined by the things that are inside the object that they are monitoring.

For example, for navy ships they use sonar to locate ridges and underwater mountains. They also use sonar to track the other ships that are sailing on the ocean. The ship sends out tones which bounce off other objects.

When this returns, it returns as another frequency. These tones are then read by professional sonar listeners. These are fed into computers and are called the read-outs.

At the gynecologist, the sonar is similar to the frequencies that are used in ultrasound tests. The functions are the same considering that the sound “bounces off” the baby. Then an image is generated and eventually displayed on the computer screen.

Just remember that a baby heart monitor is not like a microphone. The baby heart monitor magnifies the sounds that are going on inside the body without interference noises. This is the exact opposite of a microphone.

Parents turn to baby heart monitor for this very reason. It allows them to check on the health of the baby by listening to its heartbeat.

Getting The Right Baby Heart Monitor

Posted in Baby Heart Monitor on November 26th, 2010 by Andrew – Be the first to comment

It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to hear your babies heartbeat for the first time. When you visit your doctor for your prenatal visit they will use a simple device to monitor your babies heart rate. As their heart beats blood is pushed out in pulses and the heart monitor will detect the blood flow using sound waves.

It is doctor recommended that you monitor your babies heartbeat during your pregnancy at regular intervals even for mothers with healthy and normal pregnancies. As this will let you know that your little one is alive and is developing properly. The prenatal heart monitor checks to make sure they have a normal heart rate. If the heart rate is too fast, which is called tachycardia, this could signal a fetal distress. If the heart rate is too slow, which is called bradycardia this also could mean that something is wrong. It will help to keep you aware of any serious problems that might occur with your unborn baby if you are an expectant mother with complications such as twins, heart disease, diabetes and infections. You may need to be monitored more frequently depending on the situation.

What an intimate and bonding experience for you as expectant parents to be able to hear your very own baby’s heartbeat. Some parents may even want to listen to their unborn child’s heartbeat in their own home by choosing an at home prenatal heart monitor. Once you place the heart monitor on your stomach it will allow you to hear their heartbeat, kicks, and hiccups. This can help to give you comfort and peace of mind listening to your own unborn babies heart sounds. You will feel reassured that everything is fine with your baby. Most importantly this can give you really valuable information that might help to prevent any complications during your pregnancy. This will allow you to alert the doctor quickly if there are any changes or irregularities in your baby’s heart rate.

For expectant parents who are wanting to listen frequently to their unborn babies heartbeat at home there are a wide variety of prenatal heart monitors to choose from. There are many different kinds and styles of heart monitors that are on the market today. You have an array of choices as well as many different features and options which vary greatly with different brands. Comparing the prices of baby heart monitors will depend on the quality of the product, the brand name, the attachments it has and the features it offers. Some heart monitors allow you to record the heartbeat making you able to share it with your family and friends. Q&A: Has anybody used the AngelSounds Fetal Doppler Baby Heart Prenatal Monitor?

Posted in Baby Heart Monitor on November 19th, 2010 by Andrew – 3 Comments

Question by baby: Has anybody used the AngelSounds Fetal Doppler Baby Heart Prenatal Monitor?
Has anyone used the Angel Sounds baby Heart monitor? If so could you pick up the baby’s heart beat easily?

Best answer:

Answer by ?Mommy to 2 month old baby Alex?
Ive heard really bad things about that doppler. It doesn’t work well. You can’t pick anything up till around 32 weeks and half the time you can’t pick up anything at all. I had a friend who bought and freak out because she couldn’t pick up the heart beat.

We rented one of http://www.babybeat.com
Its the same one that they use in your OB office. I got it when I was 15 weeks. It was the most amazing thing ever. It had a record feature and you can record your babies heart beat and load it up to your computer and sent it to everyone.

They are worth the money and will only cause worry.
