How to change frequencies?
Heres my situation. I am in need of security cameras because of crazy people, and I am also in need of a video baby monitor. So i bought both *actually had the baby monitor for awhile now* and realized I bought things on the same 900 mhz frequency.
How can I change one or the other so that they both work?
I have the summer infant baby monitor and security man freecam cameras.
Any info would help! Thanks!
Thats another problem. I’m not even sure who to call.
some low cost 900 MHz devices have no frequency selection capability and if yours don’t have that capability, you can put a switch on the power supply for each camera and turn the camera on depending on which camera you need. it is very difficult to go in and modify the transmitter and receiver frequencies without some RF test gear, like a spectrum analyzer (really important) and RF signal generator, (somewhat helpful.) these are not normally available to the casual experimenter. if you had the test gear available to you, then it is a lot easier to tune the circuits so they are not on top of each other.
NO, you cannot change it .Unless they have other channel selection. Check their instruction to see they have a frequency selector somewhere hiding at the back or inside the circuit board.
You should not have to worry about interference too much. The transmitter and receivers will use Different channels (frequencies) automatically. I am sure that if one is being used, the other will automatically select a non-noisy channel. Most TX/RX chips out there have multiple channel select pins.
And besides, what are the chances that both pieces of different equipment used the exact same bandwidth at 900 XXX XXX Hz … very very small chances!
