Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Baby Monitor Review

Posted in Lcd Baby Monitor on January 7th, 2011 by Andrew – Be the first to comment

The Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement baby monitor is an upgrade from the original model that gained such popularity as to be ranked one of the best baby monitors on the market. This newer version builds on the great features loved by parents and adds another level of performance.

You will also be able to hear your baby so you don’t need more than one monitor. This upgrade of the Angelcare system has added plenty of new features.

The color LCD on the parent unit makes it easy to control and verify all the functions of the unit. With sound monitoring, temperature monitoring, and movement sensing, this unit keeps you apprised of just about everything you could need to know about what is going on in your baby’s room.

Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Monitor Description
The nursery audio unit and the movement sensing pad placed under the crib mattress feeds data to the two parent units. The screen displays digital information about the temperature of the nursery and uses sound and light indicators to keep you informed about activity. As with the previous model, an alert is sent if your child stops moving after 20 seconds. The sensor pad is sensitive enough to detect even a baby’s gentle breathing.

The monitor operates on two frequencies, both 900mhz and 2.4ghz, sending the audio across the 900mhz frequency to reduce interference from other electronics. The parent units have a range of up to 820 feet in open air.

Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Baby Monitor Features

Two parent units
8 channels to select the clearest sound
Color LCD display
Temperature reading
Audio only or audio and movement option
Sounds an alarm when no movement is detected for more than 20 seconds
Low battery and out of range warnings
Rechargeable batteries for parent units, non-rechargeable for nursery unit and A/C power option for all units

A “tic” feature makes a constant repetitive sound to indicate that the movement sensor continues to detect motion. Settings allow you to choose audio or vibration alarm options which means you can be on the phone and still stay on top of your child’s activity without loud interruptions from the monitor.

One base nursery unit and one motion pad are included in the set. The sensitivity of the motion pad is adjustable so you can find the right setting for you. A nightlight and pager feature are great extras to help you find our way to your child in the middle of the night and also keep better track of the parent units.

Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Baby Monitor Reviews
This monitor lets you sleep peacefully or go about your day knowing that the baby’s movements are being monitored. It also gives you just about all the other information you could need with a temperature sensor and of course an audio monitor. It has many details such as a nightlight, paging system for the parent units and LCD screen on the parents unit. The battery backup power means you never have to be cut off from your baby by a power outage. Voice activation lets you save power and be notified when the baby makes noise. The price point for this monitor with all of the features it offers is very reasonable.

Additional parent units cannot be added to the set. The sensor pad also works best when placed on a firm surface which may require the placement of a sheet of plywood under the crib mattress.

Parents get great peace of mind using the Graco Angelcare Deluxe Movement Baby Monitor. With the many upgrades added from the original system, this monitor gives you all of the features of a high end audio monitor with the added comfort of motion sensing.

Question by zidag123: Do you think that baby movement monitors are useful?
My wife and I just had a baby. A friend suggested a product called Babysense that detects the movements of the baby while it sleeps. If it stops moving (breathing) the monitor will sound and alert the parents. Is this a worthwhile device? Should I buy one?

I have an Angel Care monitor and I plan on using it until my son is ready for a big kid bed. I know it’s going to take some weening off of it for me because I’m used to that peace of mind, knowing that he’s ok.

While you take delight in holding and caring for the child, you know that you have household chores around the house that also need attention. There will always be times during the day or night you need to leave your child in his crib or bed to clean the house or fix lunch or dinner. You may suddenly need to answer the door or the phone. You will want to be able to monitor your infant or older child wherever in the house you may be. The answer to your dilemma is the Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor. The Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor is more than a sound monitor. It is also a sensor that sends out an alarm when your child has not moved in 20 seconds. Just put the sensor under the mattress of baby. There are 3 modes which you can use depending on your need and your babys age. When you activate the Sound & Movement function, you can hear the sounds your baby makes, see sound lights, and hear a tic sound every time baby moves. The sensor will still monitor your babys movement and sound an alarm if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. For older babies, you can simply activate the Sound Only mode. That disables the
