The nursery audio unit and the movement sensing pad placed under the crib mattress feeds data to the two parent units. The screen displays digital information about the temperature of the nursery and uses sound and light indicators to keep you informed about activity. As with the previous model, an alert is sent if your child stops moving after 20 seconds. The sensor pad is sensitive enough to detect even a baby’s gentle breathing.
The monitor operates on two frequencies, both 900mhz and 2.4ghz, sending the audio across the 900mhz frequency to reduce interference from other electronics. The parent units have a range of up to 820 feet in open air.

A “tic” feature makes a constant repetitive sound to indicate that the movement sensor continues to detect motion. One base nursery unit and one motion pad are included in the set. The sensitivity of the motion pad is adjustable so you can find the right setting for you. It also gives you just about all the other information you could need with a temperature sensor and of course an audio monitor. It has many details such as a nightlight, paging system for the parent units and LCD screen on the parents unit. The battery backup power means you never have to be cut off from your baby by a power outage. Voice activation lets you save power and be notified when the baby makes noise. The price point for this monitor with all of the features it offers is very reasonable.
Additional parent units cannot be added to the set. The sensor pad also works best when placed on a firm surface which may require the placement of a sheet of plywood under the crib mattress.
